sexual assault
Sexual assault is a crime rooted in power and control, encompassing any form of unwanted sexual contact. Although sexual assault can involve physical force, some perpetrators may also use emotional and psychological tactics like bullying, manipulation, and threats to coerce a victim.
In the U.S., an individual is sexually assaulted every 68 seconds. Sexual violence is a preventable, community crisis requiring an intentional, community response.
If you or a loved one are the victim of sexual assault, please call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at (1-800) 656-HOPE or the providers below for assistance.
